Large Mining Ground Engaging Tools (GET)

We designed and engineered a full set of large mining GET for dragline and excavator buckets.  This included the cast lip and involved optimizing the shape using DEM to ensure low digging resistance and low resistance to flow of dirt during operation.  The strength and stiffness were optimized with FEA.  A new unique fit between cast components were developed, as well as the retainer device to keep components fitted.  The cast material was selected and a full specification developed for each component of the GET, including manufacturing drawings.  These products are working in several surface mines.
